We’re looking for a Senior Impact Fund Manager to amplify Twilio’s positive impact in the world. Twilio is an engagement platform that empowers developers and organizations to build the world’s most innovative solutions, including those that tackle the biggest social and environmental problems. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to identify strategic opportunities to invest in social sector initiatives where Twilio’s technology, capital, employees and community can be applied to tackle major challenges facing communities globally.

Twilio is looking for a leader who lives the Twilio Magic and has a demonstrated track record of leading initiatives that leverage full-spectrum capital to accelerate sustainable, equitable impact.  They also have:

  • Expertise deploying full spectrum capital (investments, PRIs, grants) to support partner mission and goals. Able to develop/execute an impact investing thesis and manage strategic grant partnerships. Can create defined goals and impact measures to evaluate success.
  • An understanding of the technology sector and a passion for using technology to drive social impact. Knowledge of how technology companies can support social sector digital transformation, upskilling and equity.
  • Has deep knowledge of the charitable sector’s needs, constraints, and strengths. Will advocate for high-impact programs that meaningfully help underserved and under-resourced populations.
  • Is a strategic thinker with a strong ability to execute. Can turn big ideas into organized action plans with tactics, dependencies and timelines. Strong ability to achieve outcomes and reach deadlines even when there are numerous other "priorities" and distractions.
  • Is a proactive, successful relationship-builder with people at any level of an organization, including in nonprofits, social enterprises, community foundations and corporate social impact teams.
  • Geeks out about impact measurement. Will draw on past experience to create a process to measure, track and report on how Twilio’s capital, product and volunteer support are creating impact that aligns with’s theory of change.


As an Impact Fund Manager, you will live the Twilio Magic values:

  • BE AN OWNER and DRAW THE OWL: You will be responsible for building and managing the global strategy and deployment of social impact investments and grants through’s Impact Fund, a donor advised fund created as part of Twilio’s 1% pledge of equity to the community.
  • WEAR THE CUSTOMER’S SHOES: You will identify organizations that align with our strategy and can benefit from Twilio’s technology, funding and pro bono support to achieve their missions.
  • EMPOWER OTHERS: You will collaborate with teams across Twilio and to provide value-add support to Impact Fund partners globally, from pro bono support to product education.
  • WRITE IT DOWN: Through rigorous measurement and evaluation, you will ensure’s product, financial and human capital are supporting impact that aligns with’s theory of change.
  • BE BOLD: You will partner with our marketing and communications teams to share stories of how our Impact Fund partners are creating positive impact in the world.
  • NO SHENANIGANS: Ensure the consistent exercise of appropriate judgment, ethics and integrity when evaluating opportunities, conducting due diligence, and determining partnership terms.


This role will be part of the social impact arm of Twilio,, led by the Chief Social Impact Officer who reports directly to the company’s CEO. In this role, you will report into the Director of Social Impact who oversees the company’s Impact Fund and employee impact initiatives globally. The team works across Twilio’s technology, funding, and employees to improve the lives of over 300 million people globally per year! And we’re not stopping there - our goal is for social impact organizations using Twilio to help 1 billion people annually!

This position is available in a U.S.-based Twilio hub office (examples: San Francisco, Denver, New York) or remote in the U.S. within 3-hours of Pacific Time. We will work from home during the current pandemic measures. In accordance with applicable law, the following represents Twilio's reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation for this role if hired in Colorado. Please note that this information is provided for those hired in Colorado only, and this role is open to candidates outside of Colorado as well.


Denver/Boulder Metro:

Salary Range: $99,840.00 - $137,280.00

Rest of Colorado:

Salary Range: $87,360.00 - $120,120.00

Non Sales: Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Twilio's equity plan.
