Babylist is seeking a Senior Technical Recruiter to help us build an exceptional technical recruiting program. Started in 2011, Babylist is a profitable, and fast growing company, while still maintaining the agility and innovation of a start-up. We are experiencing explosive growth and this year 1 in 3 expecting parents will create a registry with Babylist. Recruiting high- caliber technical talent to expand our product, engineering, and data teams, is the most important initiative in continuing our company growth.

In this role, you will own the technical recruiting process from sourcing to hire and become a trusted thought partner to our technical executive team. It will be your responsibility to champion and deliver a high-touch and exceptional experience to our candidates, as well as a seamless process for hiring teams. You’ll collaborate with hiring managers on recruiting and industry process best- practices and innovative ways of connecting with candidates, in order to deliver best in class talent.


  • Own full life cycle technical recruitment for our product, engineering and analytics organizations
  • Consult with technical executive leadership on hiring trends and talent market dynamics
  • Build the next generation of Babylist talent consistent with both current and aspirational team values
  • Provide an exceptional recruiting process for both candidates and hiring teams
  • Build and maintain credibility with hiring managers in order to become a trusted recruiting advisor
  • Create and execute talent strategies based on deep understanding of business needs aligned with understanding of the talent market
  • Close searches against set timelines, prioritize and build a diverse pipeline of passive candidates through research, sourcing, and networking
  • Strategize and develop new and innovative methods to reach and connect with candidates
  • Ensure that the recruitment process maintains a bar of only hiring superior talent
  • Guide the stakeholder through unique situations, sensitivities, and potential bottlenecks using thoughtful and empathetic solutions
  • Recommend and drive improvements to scale our technical recruiting practice


  • You have 5+ years full-cycle in-house technical recruiting experience
  • You have a relentless drive to find and connect with the best talent; creative and disciplined strategies to source, engage, and nurture prospective candidates
  • You’re actively involved in technical communities and great at building and managing a diverse candidate pipeline
  • You are highly skilled in establishing trust and credibility with business partners to influence talent decisions
  • You champion an exceptional candidate experience, striving for each candidate to leave with a better impression of Babylist than when they started
  • You relentlessly pursue alignment with your business units and a seamless hiring team experience
  • You are focused on data integrity, proactively sharing data-centric updates with internal stakeholders, and utilizing insights to improve recruiting efficiency and influence hiring decisions
  • You can think critically and adapt easily to changing priorities
  • You operate autonomously and proactively seek out solutions to problems
  • You are naturally curious and driven so you always find ways of improving the quality of your work
