About the Role

Our company has been growing at an extremely rapid pace and we need a highly organized and incredibly skilled professional to lead our recruiting efforts. Our Talent Acquisition Director will design, develop and execute on BookNook’s Talent Acquisition strategy. The Talent Acquisition Director will lead efforts to source, recruit, hire and retain talented candidates, work with our marketing and brand team to build a strong employer brand, and ensure BookNook maintains our strong and connected culture as we grow. We're looking to bring someone on to the team as soon as possible, and are excited to have someone dive right in! This position reports to our Senior Director, HR & Talent and will manage the TA Manager, Talent Partners, and Talent Specialist.

At BookNook You Will:

  • Partner with the business and stakeholders to assess and develop headcount planning practices
  • Create sustainable and forward thinking talent acquisition recruitment strategies and techniques.
  • Develop and execute upon employer branding initiatives in an effort to position BookNook as an employer of choice
  • Inspire and lead the talent acquisition and hiring teams to deliver an unforgettable candidate experience that moves swiftly but allows each side to fully assess and get excited about the prospect
  • Motivate employees to be brand ambassadors and plan employee referral programs.
  • Develop and build upon existing recruiting metrics that provide insights and drive decisions. including time to fill, quality of hire, cost per hire, candidate experience surveys, recruiter productivity, candidate quality, among others

You are a good fit for this role if you have:

  • 5+ years of experience, with at least 2 - 3 years of experience leading a team within TA
  • Working knowledge of full-cycle recruitment processes and employer branding strategies
  • A passion for hiring great talent and developing high-performing teams
  • Strong working knowledge of the market and the ability to position BookNook as an employer of choice
  • Expert level communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Outstanding knowledge of HRIS and ATS recruitment tools, ideally with Gusto and Lever
  • A passion and desire to  be a culture-carrier who understands the impact of developing a strong culture through hiringThe ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environment
